A different kind of affirmative action

This artcile describes the circumstances of a lawsuit that was recently brought against Yale University alledging that they treat their applicants unfairly in that those that are related to alumni or other supporters of Yale get admitted despite lacking academic records.

While I don’t necessarily disagree with such policies I believe they should end right there after admission. Because in the end, if a student was unable to perform well enough before university, who says he / she will once at university. If the “unfairly admitted” want to waste their money it’s their own problem.
