It appears that the government really does not trust peace activists to protest peacefully and excercise their rights freely. An article on last weeks peace rally in New York City in the New York Times orginally contained a few sentences on snipers and undercover policemen being among the crowd. One has to remember of course that all that took place before the somewhat violent protests in San Franciso of this week.
