As readers of my personal blog, GeezerBlog, may know I recently finally purchased the last album of the early 90s heavy metal band Satrox (CH), Energy. After listening to said albums a few times, one particular song, “Tomorrow” stuck out. I can’t get rid of the impression that I’ve heard it in the 11 years since the album’s release, and not just once, despite not owning the CD. Seeing as I have found no evidence to suggest that the song was the second single off of that album (“Liar” was the first one), I can only assume that it must have been a different artist either covering or otherwise performing the song. After ascertaining that it wasn’t Bon Jovi, Gotthard or the Scorpions I don’t know where to look.
I’ve posted the lyrics under ‘Continue reading…’. So please, send any ideas as to who may have performed the ballad my way.
Little boy, playing with fancy toys
you’re full of hope and expectations
but time goes on and soon your childhood’s done
and life could loose its fascination
Say baby girl, how will you face your world
it all depends on human reason
human reason, human reason
We are living for tomorrow, yeah
tomorrow, tomorrow, ohh
we are all living for tomorrow, yeah
tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow
Day by day we seem to miss the way
the way that leads into the future
We can’t go on destroying what we own
we’ve got to leave it to our children
We are living for tomorrow, yeah
tomorrow, tomorrow, ohh
we are all living for tomorrow, yeah
tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow
(Solo)
We are in it all together, ohoh
we should start a little fire tonight, uh yeah
start a little fire tonight
’cause it’s time to realize, yeah
that
We are living for tomorrow, yeah
tomorrow, tomorrow, ohh
we are all living for tomorrow, yeah
tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow
Little boy, your life is full of joy
it’s full of hope and expectations,
expectations, expectations
