As it stands right now, local news shows are already a joke and nothing more than a half an hour show of violence, tear-jerkers and sports. But at least they still deal with issues in your town. According to this Alternet article things may get even worse however. In the near future, most of the “news” would come from one central location and the joke of local relevance in the news would largely vanish.
