In the past few weeks, among many failed attempts to find WMDs, the US forces in Iraq haven’t helped dispelling the fact that the US government’s main priority is control over oil in Iraq. Just two weeks ago, US forces started paying oil industry workers with money from a burnt out bank. While this may have been an obvious move seeing as it took place in Kirkuk, I cannot help but feel that there must have been other industries way more deserving of the money, industries that help provide basic utitlities, for example, as the main beneficiaries of the oil industry are foreign millionaires of course.
