Tomorrow will mark the 2nd year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, a.k.a. the greatest PR stunt in American history. And many will probably not do what they should: Call the Bush administration on their promises and actions.
Especially George Bush promised to “root out terrists” and combat “evildoers” in the “axis of evil”. In the two years since the attacks however, the rogue administration has single-handedly fought two wars to satisfy their corporate supporters, transformed the US into a fascist kleptocracy by invalidating much of the Bill of Rights and has given this nation the largest deficit in years. And amongst that hubub, Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein remain free and alive.
The United States is also no safer than before 9/11 because of those actions. Any so-called security measures, such as the upcoming super intrusive CAPPS II system, are cancelled out by increased Al Quaeda regrouping efforts which are encouraged and energized by the US armed forces’ actions in the middle east.
So tomorrow, let us remember 9/11 for what it really was: The opening fireworks to an era of mass terrorism, deceit and plundering of our common resources, all comitted by an administration that does not care about anyone who has donated less than $25’000 or other forms of payment in the form of convenient ways of defeating the democratic system.
