It has been a known fact that very often, the big players on wall street have close ties to the neocons in and around the White House. This seems to have been confirmed once again this week as news broke that financial trade organizations and law firms profitted greatly from the relief funds allocated to businesses in lower Manhattan after 9/11. As this NYT article points out none of them needed that money. It was the small businesses in the area that were in dire need but were excluded to a large extent. In the end, this means that financial and law businesses can now be added to the list of corporations who have been profiting from Bush’s actions.
