The Buffalo News today carried an article on the lack of political action in the 18 – 24 year old group, which managed to perfectly highlight one of the problems with that age group: Lazyness.
Many say they are apathetic because politicians don’t “respond to their issues” or “speak their language”, and then we get such bright bulbs as the potential voter, who was quoted in the article saying that she doesn’t “have time (to vote) … I’m always at school studying, going to class or at cheerleading.”. This I fear may well be a typical example of one of the main negative sides of this modern age. While many seem to be doing well, some are doing too well for their own good and therefore get lazy and stop caring after their food has been served.
