Powell doubts existence of WMD as Kay resigns

The past few days have dealt two major blows to the White House’s claims that WMD existend in Iraq until last year. Not only did Bush’s chief Weapons inspector David Kay resign after a fruitless search but even Secretary of State Colin Powell now doubts whether or not WMD programs existed, all this after Tuesday’s State of the Union address in which Bush still insisted that WMDs were a valid reason for the invasion of Iraq.

  • And this surprises . . . who?
    The whole argument was like a house of cards and no it’s all collapsed – but no one cares right now. And that doesn’t matter to me. I just want people to start caring before November.
