The Supreme Court of California today ordered that the issuing of marriage certificates to same-sex couples in San Francisco must be halted immediately.
This is what I mean by ultraliberals shooting themselves in the foot. If they had waited until the issue had been settled in Massachusetts and on the federal level same-sex couples could all now potentially join in unions all across the nation. But seeing as they had to rush into illegal activities this whole process may now take considerably longer.

People weren’t ready for integration, but people fought for it. People weren’t ready for women to vote, but people fought for it. As Eugene V. Debs once said, “When great changes occur in history, when great principles are involved, as a rule the majority are wrong.”
