Even though Iraq is now supposedly a sovereign nation, reality differs significantly from the official story. Over the weekend, former administrator of Iraq Paul Bremer appointed government officials and issued orders to enact new laws that remain in place under the new government of Iraq.
While this is not entirely new, it nevertheless goes further to illustrate what a sham the handover of power was.
