Now that the initial shock has past and pessimism sets in, I thought I’d list a few positive news items:
- Voter turn out was higher than at any point since 1968 (source: CNN).
- Mubarack Obama (D) won his race for a senate seat in Illinois.
- Brian Higgins (D) won the house seat in New York State’s 27th district.
- Almost half the nation voted against Bush.
- Nader did not spoil the election for Kerry.
