Last night, seven senators from both parties signed an agreement under which both promised to avoid any issues with filibusters for the remainder of the present judge nomination process.
While this is somewhat good news, it does leave the GOP without the needed leverage on the remaining judges as they will only be able to end the Democrats’ obstructionist tactics if and when there is a vacancy on the US Supreme Court.
