As I’ve said before, they love democracy when they get it their way, but they’ll do anything to cheat if it doesn’t. I somehow get the impression that Abbas instigated or privately supports the latest violence. Nothing like some hot conflict to expel the opposition from your government…
This reminds me that Muslims just can’t seem to cope with anything but their stone age systems of rule by force. Makes me wonder why we bother to try and teach Maliki and his merry band how to make progress when they’d rather be their old lazy selves. I say we do set a pull out date to scare them straight if they do take a two month recess. To give those incompetant Arabs an endless number of opportunities to “get it” is not only insane, it is also un-American. If they want war and chaos I say let them have it. So long as they only fight amongst each other I don’t see why we should care. They know where to ask for help.
